Cosmos in the Jar-O

My mom can make a little magic with some recycled jars and home grown herbs mixed with blooms.

She brought these to my house on Saturday and they were so pretty.

My Cup of Tea

I picked out this tea towel at Crate and Barrel; I like the teapot print but the unexpected colors caught my eye.

I came home with the bouquet of straw flowers from the farmers' market. It really cheers me to have an arrangement in the house. Thanks, Marmee.

String Along

I made this swag real quick by stringing snippets of ribbon on embroidery floss. In haste I flung it over my hall mirror where it looks downright intentional.

In the Vase That You Bought Today

My hydrangea bush is covered in hundreds of small, sky-blue blossoms. I arranged a few in a Delf bud vase souvenir.

So Jaded

This little jade plant has been bringing me joy since I picked it up at the supermarket. I just love the tidy growth pattern, the fleshy leaves, their symmetry, and the red blush they get in ample sunlight (kind of like me).

The B's Have It

In our first married spring Brian surprised me with a Redbud tree. This week it is in full bloom and the bees could not be happier.
