Socks & Stripes
I don't have Mociun money to plunk down on these awesome animal stripe tights, but I found an affordable alternative- just ten dollars at Target! Here I'm wearing them with my new super-soft alpaca fleece socks.

Zippity Do Da
Remember these? I got them for nothing! I walked into Gap and was handed a 50 first customers card for any jean free. Sweet.

Familiar Ring To It
I replaced some small rings I used to wear in grade school.
I think the heart looks sweet next to my wedding band:

I really like the simple kink in the band on my ring finger. I'm loving gold jewelry right now.

This is my second replacement of the pinky twist ring. One I lost in the crease of the seat in a Charlie Brown's booth, and the next had to be cut off with garden clippers when I outgrew it.
And, a loose knot.

I bought these at the Kutztown Folk Festival for $3 each, right in my price range ;-)

Skirting the Issue
I felt sad last weekend so Brian bought me this skirt. It's swingy, has asymmetrical buttons, and makes me smile :-)

Hot and Haze-y
Real Simple turned me on to Out of Print Clothing. I instantly ordered this (and another) tee. Nabokov's Lolita tickles me so much I have to stop reading it sometimes and shake.

To a Tee Bag
My crossbody Baggalini was a perfect fit for traipsing around another country; it carried my Rick Steves, my Moleskine, a point & shoot, and a slew of personal items comfortably. Maybe not the most attractive or stylish bag I own (thanks to the great taste and generosity of my mother-in-law) but I've been carrying it every day anyway.Wednesday, May 5, 2010
Denim Habit
My friend and coworker RJ just completed his personal challenge: wear the same pair of jeans for fifty days without washing.

Here they are after rain, shine, and weight loss. Check out the belt that kept them up: a hand stamped flea market find with a Polish flag buckle.
Inspired by a friend who wore a pair of pants for twenty straight days, RJ more than doubled the deal. After ten weeks (weekends off) and a record shattered, he came into work yesterday in a clean pair of khakis.
While he agreed to let me feature his quirky achievement on my blog, he opted out of the photo op ;-)

An Apple a Day
I never owned a blazer... until now. I thought this was a deal at sticker price $24 but at the register it rang for only $3!
The striped lining makes a cute cuff.
With it I wore a tee shirt I purchased from the sweet etsy shop Dressing on the Side. (I might have to order the boyfriend "Morning Buzz" tee, too)

Wake Up, Maggie
Today I am enjoying my Maggie scarf.
The organic cotton jersey feels like a favorite tee shirt; I like the raw edges and the deep cranberry color. Maybe my favorite part: $4.99 at Whole Foods.
